Courage

It can take courage to put your hand up in class and ask a question when you think that everyone else knows the answer except you.   There will probably be others in the class who will be glad to have the teacher explain things again too.   So well done you for having the courage to ask for help.

It can take courage to stand up to someone who is calling you names.   It takes courage to tell on someone who is being mean to you.

Having courage is not showing weakness.   All of the great warriors and heroes you read about have courage.   They have to stand up to people who are not always nice to them.

Have the courage to be who you really are and realise you don’t have to change yourself to fit in with the crowd.

If you want to fit in with whom you think are the “cool guys or girls” ask yourself are they really cool?

What makes them cool?

Do they laugh at others and make them feel less than themselves?

Do you really think that is being cool or is it being mean to make yourself feel cool?

Is this really who you want to be?

It takes courage to not change your personality to fit in.

Being yourself is one of the best things you can ever do.   You are fine just the way you are and are where you belong.

You can learn how to do something called tapping. Take a look at the picture of the teddy and the picture of the alien.   See which one you prefer.   They are showing you where you can “tap”.

You can go here and see Conal using tapping to get rid of his fear of getting sick in the car!!!

You can always change the words and say whatever you want.   For example if you want to have more courage you can say something like this.

I make the choice to have more courage.

I am a great kid.

I am able to have courage.

I am good enough.

I am strong.

I believe in myself.

I am a great kid.

I belong.

Happy tapping!
